Here are some memorabilia from the proms and dances I attended while at Burroughs...
I took my girlfriend, Barbara Morgan, to my Senior Prom in 1962 and she took me to her's in 1963.
In 1963, there was a big controversy when a John Kennedy campaign fundraiser bumped the Prom from the Beverly Hilton Hotel ballroom.
After some bad publicity, the president moved his fundraiser to another room so the Prom could go on as planned.
The president then made an appearance at the Prom with a couple of celebrities as an appology for the confusion.
